The New Zealand Equine Academy offers the NZ Certificate in Equine Skills L2 and L3, giving young people the skills, knowledge and confidence to gain employment in the thoroughbred industry.
The courses are hands on, led by experienced tutors and are a mixture of classroom learning, practical lessons, field trips and guest speakers. Our students bring the passion and we provide the pathway!

As part of the Byerley Park NTW event, you can view our facilities, ride our spring horse and meet the academy horses who are so vital to our success.
Activities for kids: Meet the horses, touch the grooming and riding gear, have a go on the spring horse and racehorse game, colouring in and design your own brand. Plus take part in our Kahoot to test your knowledge!
