Take a peek behind the farm gate and see the day-to-day operation of a racing stable and hobby breeding farm.
Jess and James will show you around their 20-acre property and introduce you to their team of racehorses, broodmares and ex-racehorses. Learn about how they train the horses using the on-farm track and the nearby facilities at the Murray Bridge Racing Club.
You can help with the afternoon feed run or relax and talk all things racing over a glass of wine from Barossa winery Paulmara Estates, which is a partner of Tzaferis Racing.
Tzaferis Racing is led by Jess Tzaferis (nee Eaton), a multiple stakes-winning jockey, winner of the coveted John Letts Medal in 2021, and now dual-trainer license holder.
Having worked closely with several of the country's premier stables during a successful career in the saddle, Jess has built the necessary skills and experience to be able to take the next step in her thoroughbred journey.
With a deep understanding for horses born out of equitation science, Jess' training philosophy blends old school horsemanship with modern training techniques to get the best out of her horses.

For the best coffee in Murray Bridge, try Little Local Co in the heart of town. They operate between 7.30am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday.
For a classic pub meal and a cold beer, the Swanport Hotel is the town's local racing pub and is frequented by many trainers and stable staff.
The 1924 River Tavern is a great option for a meal after the event. Think top cuts of steak and a curated wine list featuring many local SA favourites.
