What to expect

A 15-week thoroughbred retraining masterclass condensed into two practical hours with internationally recognised horseman, Scott Brodie.
Learn how to turn your off-the-track Thoroughbred into a safe, confident and enjoyable leisure horse. In this practical masterclass, Scott shares his proven, step-by-step groundwork methodology, demonstrating how to work with the Thoroughbred’s natural sensitivity and intelligence to build trust, communication and confidence, progressing through to work under saddle. Designed for everyday horse owners, not just professional trainers, Scott’s approach is a clear, repeatable system that anyone can learn and follow.

“We are horse people, not therapists. Our programs use practical horsemanship to encourage post-traumatic growth, complementing rather than replacing clinical treatment”. Scott Brodie.

Two Sessions: 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm.

About Us

Scott established the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Trust at Racing NSW in 2012 (now Team Thoroughbred) and has dedicated his 30 year career to developing a systematic approach to giving Thoroughbreds safe, enjoyable and rewarding careers after racing. Scott uses this methodology through Horse Aid, the Australian charity he founded and its Healing through Horsemanship programs, using retired Thoroughbreds to support the recovery and wellbeing of Defence personnel and first responders experiencing service-related trauma.
