This is a unique opportunity to visit one of New Zealand’s leading stallion farms and experience Rich Hill Stud up close.
Come and view our four stallions, including Champion Sire PROISIR, Melbourne Cup winner SHOCKING, SATONO ALADDIN and ACE HIGH, meet members of the Rich Hill team, and see some of the next generation of thoroughbreds being raised on the farm.
A tour of the property will provide an insight into the day-to-day workings of a leading thoroughbred nursery, while a question-and-answer session with our team will give visitors the opportunity to learn more about the horses, breeding and life on the farm.
Whether you’re already involved in racing and breeding or simply have an interest in horses, we look forward to welcoming you to Rich Hill and sharing our passion for the thoroughbred.
Inclusions: The stallions paraded, a tour of some of our facilities, including the foaling area, and mares and foals in the paddock. At the conclusion of the tour, we will be happy to answer any questions participants may have.
Rich Hill Stud is a leading thoroughbred nursery situated in the heart of New Zealand’s Waikato.
Established 33 years ago as a boutique agistment farm – Rich Hill has grown to encompass more than 500 acres, currently standing four stallions and care for more than 300 horses.
Over that time, Rich Hill has earned a reputation for raising and selling quality thoroughbreds capable of competing at the highest level on Australasia’s leading racetracks. The farm has also built an exceptional stallion legacy from foundation sire Pentire siring 16 individual Gr. 1 winners through to Proisir becoming a multiple champion New Zealand sire.
Graduates of the farm include Melbourne Cup winner Prince of Penzance, along with multiple Group One winners Aeliana, Xtravagant and (King) Mufhasa, recent Group One winner She’s A Dealer, and Champion Two-Year-Old Tokyo Tycoon, to name just a few.
Rich Hill provides a complete range of thoroughbred services, including foaling, weaning and the raising and preparation of young stock, all undertaken by an experienced and dedicated team.
Set in a picturesque Waikato location, Rich Hill’s spacious paddocks and superb facilities provide a safe, natural environment in which thoroughbreds can thrive.
