About Us

Rich Hill is a thoroughbred nursery in the heart of the Waikato. We have been in business for 31 years. From humble beginnings leasing 20 acres, four horses and one staff, it now owns over 320 acres, stands four stallions and has between 300-400 horses on the farm. We have become renowned for raising and selling a quality product that competes at the highest level on Australasia’s leading racetracks. Our graduates include Melbourne Cup winner Prince of Penzance,  multiple Group One winners Xtravagant, (King) Mufhasa, recent Group One winner Aeliana, and Champion Two Year Old Tokyo Tycoon to name a few. Rich Hill's service includes foaling, weaning, and the raising of young stock by a qualified and dedicated staff. Our picturesque location and superb facilities provide a safe and natural environment for our thoroughbreds.
