Special Morning Tea with the Herd

A special extended edition of our popular Morning Tea with the Herd, with a focus on
education, connection and the lives of Thoroughbreds beyond racing.
Proposed activities include:
Morning tea alongside our herd
Meet some of Racing Hearts’ Off-the-Track Thoroughbred lesson and therapy horses
Learn about their racing histories and their transition into new careers
Education around OTT retraining, temperament, care and versatility
An interactive equine communication activity, exploring how horses communicate
through body language, energy and behaviour
Demonstrations and informal discussion about the different roles our OTTs now
perform, including riding lessons, therapeutic programs and equine-assisted activities
Opportunities for guests to interact with the horses and ask questions
Duration: 3 hours
Perfect for the general public, horse lovers, racing industry participants, families and anyone
interested in learning more about Thoroughbreds after racing.
At Racing Hearts, we believe in the life-changing connection between people and horses. Our not-for-profit centre brings together charitable programs, riding for the disabled, inclusive riding lessons (for all abilities), equine-assisted therapy, off-track thoroughbred retraining, an extensive volunteer program and regular community events — all in one welcoming, inclusive space. We are a family and a community first. Every lesson, visit, donation, volunteer hour and event helps support our horses, our programs and the people who rely on this centre. Racing Hearts McIntyre Centre is pleased to host two special events as part of National
Thoroughbred Week, 20–30 November 2026, celebrating the versatility, sensitivity and
incredible second careers of Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds.
We have a coffee shop at the centre where attendees can purchase drinks and snacks including delicious toasties and pastries.
Parking available via the main entrance on the corner of Moggill Rd and Mt Crosby Rd.
