What to expect

At our open day, we will welcome our local school groups and disability support organisations to the centre to showcase how incredible our thoroughbreds are for supporting our life journeys.

Attendees will be offered hands on experiences with the horses through grooming and leading as well as taking part in an equine assisted wellness session. Throughout the session, we will demonstrate how thoroughbreds help us with our physical and mental health and how we can also support them in return.

About Us

Racing Hearts Therapy Inc is a registered charity offering Equine Assisted Therapies and riding for all abilities. We are a national charity with multiple operations across the country with our main base currently in Brisbane, Queensland called The McIntyre Centre.

At this centre, we retrain retired racehorses who support us in offering Equine Assisted Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Riding and competitive riding coaching as well as stable hand programs for people of all abilities.

As well as providing a new pathway in life post racing to thoroughbreds and standardbreds as therapy horses, we also retrain and rehome retired racehorses for many other suitable homes.

We also have a Community Development Centre where we run day programs for disabled adults with medium to high support needs. Learning activities include learning how to look after our beautiful thoroughbreds and riding.

Racing Hearts is a registered charity with DGR 1 status.
