We’ll take you behind the scenes and show you how a morning of trackwork comes together, including the opportunity to watch our horses work on the course proper at Kyneton Racecourse and see them in action from trackside.
Guests will then have the opportunity to explore our Kyneton stable, meet our fantastic stable team and get up close with the horses. We’ll parade a selection of horses, with Liam sharing what he looks for in a young thoroughbred and how he assesses their development.
We’ll also have saddles, bridles and other stable equipment laid out on the barn floor, giving you the chance to see everything up close and ask questions.
It’s a great opportunity to see firsthand just how well loved, cared for and respected our horses are.
There’ll also be plenty for the whole family to enjoy, with food and refreshments provided throughout the morning.
Meeting point: Kyneton Racecourse for trackwork, followed by a short walk to Liam Howley Racing’s stables.
At Liam Howley Racing, every day starts early. From the first horses heading out onto the track at Kyneton Racecourse to the final stable checks of the day, there’s a team of passionate people working behind the scenes to develop and prepare our horses for the racetrack.
Based at the picturesque Kyneton Racecourse in Central Victoria, Kyneton is our main training base, complemented by a number of world-class local properties. Together, these facilities provide an ideal environment for our horses to grow, develop and prepare for their racing careers.
We pride ourselves on giving each horse the time, patience and individual attention they need to develop into racehorses, with a strong focus on achieving success on the racetrack while always prioritising their welfare and wellbeing.
Our fantastic young team are passionate about racing and genuinely love what they do. From early-morning daily trackwork to grooming, feeding, cleaning stables and preparing horses for the races, there is a huge amount that goes into running a successful racing stable.
For us, racing is about more than what happens on race day — it’s about the people, the horses and the journey we share with them every step of the way.
