Guests will view a racehorse in a work session, as well as a session with a rehoming horse to show how they are transitioned and set up for their next careers following retirement from the racetrack.
Jess Land has a diverse career working with a mix of Thoroughbred race horses and Sport horses. She has competed across a range of disciplines over the years, starting at Pony Club and competing up to 2* Eventing level before switching to Show Jumping in 2017. She has competed to FEI 1* 1.40m Level and still continues to do a bit on the side, producing a young team to enjoy around her busy racing schedule.
In 2023, Jess got a Trainers license for Thoroughbreds, and has switched her focus mainly to this area while still doing some Sport Horse work on the side, including working as an Acknowledged Retrainer through NZTR to help place horses into their new homes post racing!
