What to expect

This is a full afternoon event that gives you the opportunity to go behind the scene's and take a tour of a selection of our top Central District Racing Stables.

Kick starting off the afternoon at Copperbelt Lodge with Stephen Gray Racing where we will take a guided tour of their training facilities.

Our next stop is with our leading lady of Central Districts Racing at Lisa Latta Racing for a behind-the-scenes experience before making our way to the RACE Awapuni Equine Pool for a swimming display by one of our local thoroughbred athletes.

Then on to Eales Racing for a tour and talk with Matthew and his staff.  Majestic Horse Floats are synonymous with NZ Racing, so let's have a look through one of their trucks and see how they transport our finest athletes.

Then on to a cluster of training facilities and barns for tours and talks with Roydon Bergerson Racing, Mike Breslin Racing Stables, and the newly formed father-and-son training partnership of Peter and Trent Didham.

We will also take a tour of a Horse Ambulance from the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust, who make sure our much-loved thoroughbreds get the best of care in a time of need.

It is a full-on afternoon that will be wound up with a bite to eat and a few drinks courtesy of RACE, Creative Catering, and InToWin.co.nz.

Guests will be required to drive between each venue. Full parking and driving instructions will be provided to all registered attendees prior to the event.
