Guests will begin the day at our Game Lodge Racing stables in Hastings, where they will enjoy a guided tour of the facility. The tour will include our 36-box stable complex, horse paddocks, water treadmill, while also providing the opportunity to meet a selection of our racehorses and learn about their daily training and care.
Following the stable tour, guests will convoy approximately 15 minutes to our farm at Kiwikawa. Here, they will see our broodmares and foals, yearlings, spelling racehorses, and learn more about the breeding and agistment side of our operation. And get to meet some of our famous babysitters, like Hong Kong Horse of the year Ambitious Dragon.
The event will conclude with light refreshments, drinks, and the opportunity to chat with our team and enjoy the farm surroundings.
Game Lodge Racing is a thoroughbred racing stable based in Hastings, Hawke's Bay, operating across both a training facility and an adjoining farm. On a typical day, horses are exercised on the training track through trackwork and water treadmill sessions, before receiving individual care, feeding, and veterinary or farrier attention as required.
The farm supports the breeding and agistment side of the business, with broodmares, foals, weanlings, yearlings, spelling racehorses, and client horses all managed on-site. With a strong focus on animal welfare, horsemanship, and producing quality thoroughbreds both on and off the racetrack.
We will prepare a kids' scavenger hunt, things to tick off as they have their tour.
